CHERRY CRUSH

Cinemavixion Review

Cherry Crush offers a compelling, albeit dark, exploration of teenage obsession and its dangerous consequences. The narrative follows Jordan, a talented young photographer whose world is upended when he's expelled from prep school for his provocative work. His transfer to a public high school leads him into a passionate, yet perilous, entanglement with Shay, a girl from a different social stratum. The film masterfully navigates themes of class, desire, and moral compromise, as Jordan finds himself drawn deeper into a web of crime. Jonathan Tucker's portrayal of Jordan is nuanced, capturing the character's internal conflict, while Nikki Reed embodies Shay's enigmatic allure. Directed by Nicholas DiBella, Cherry Crush is a thought-provoking drama that lingers long after the credits roll, serving as a cautionary tale about the destructive potential of unchecked infatuation.
