CHASING MOLLY

Cinemavixion Review

In "Chasing Molly," a darkly comedic crime thriller, we are introduced to Molly, a con artist with a peculiar specialty: parting clients from their valuables under the guise of exorcising demons. The film plunges into the gritty underbelly of Los Angeles when Molly's latest scheme goes awry, targeting a dangerous drug kingpin. This misstep forces her into a desperate race against time to rescue her kidnapped partner and herself. Director Josh Sutherland, alongside writer Shelley Pack, crafts a narrative that balances thrilling action with sharp wit. The performances, particularly from Adinda Catherine and Shelley Pack, anchor the film, navigating Molly's morally ambiguous journey. While the plot explores familiar crime tropes, the unique premise and energetic pacing offer a compelling watch for fans of genre cinema.
