Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the complex and often harrowing experience of the British Channel Islands during the German occupation from 1940 to 1945. It masterfully navigates the dualities of human behavior under duress, showcasing both the acts of resistance and collaboration, heroism and infamy, that defined this period. The narrative focuses on the everyday lives of ordinary islanders caught between the occupying forces and their own communities, revealing how extreme circumstances forged extraordinary resilience. The film presents a heart-rending and enthralling account, shedding light on a crucial, yet often overlooked, chapter of World War II history with sensitivity and depth.
