CELEBRITY CRUSH

Cinemavixion Review

Oliver Robins' "Celebrity Crush" offers a chillingly intimate exploration of obsession, blurring the lines between fandom and delusion. The film plunges viewers into a disquieting narrative where a devoted admirer, driven by a warped sense of love, imprisons a B-movie horror icon from the 80s. Robins, who also stars in the film, masterfully crafts an atmosphere of escalating dread, showcasing the psychological descent of both the captor and the captive. The premise, while extreme, serves as a stark commentary on the parasocial relationships that can develop in the digital age, and the potential dangers lurking within intense admiration. "Celebrity Crush" is a thought-provoking thriller that lingers, prompting reflection on fame, fantasy, and the unsettling reality of unchecked fixation.
