CASANOVA'S VENETIAN LOVE AFFAIRS

Cinemavixion Review

This dramatised documentary delves into the multifaceted life of Giacomo Casanova, presenting him not just as a notorious lover, but as a true Renaissance man. The series draws from a unique and largely unpublished collection of Casanova's own letters, penned in his final years at Duchov Palace. These personal correspondences offer an intimate perspective on his tempestuous existence, a life marked by financial highs and lows, inventive endeavors like the National Lottery, and a legendary romantic history. The narrative explores how this charismatic figure, who once charmed, amazed, and shocked society, ultimately faced a quiet end, largely forgotten. The series promises a fresh, authentic insight, leveraging archival material to illuminate the man behind the myth.
