CARL

Cinemavixion Review

"CARL" presents a fascinating premise, blending science fiction with a cautionary tale of nuclear annihilation. The narrative follows a Cybernetic Anthropomorphic Robot Lover tasked with a critical mission: to travel back in time and avert a catastrophic nuclear conflict. While the external data suggests a runtime of 24 minutes, indicating a short film, the ambition of its concept is palpable. The performances by Christian Brunetti and Kelly Ladd, supported by Michael Doggett (also credited as a writer), anchor the film's high-stakes plot. Director Stefan Vino-Figueroa crafts a concise yet impactful story that explores themes of destiny and the consequences of human action. The film effectively uses its sci-fi elements to pose profound questions about the future, making it a thought-provoking watch for genre enthusiasts.
