CAPTAIN SCARLETT

Cinemavixion Review

Richard Greene, already beloved for his swashbuckling charisma, dons a mask once more in "Captain Scarlett." Set in a post-Napoleonic France teetering under the weight of corruption, Greene embodies a nobleman turned rebel, rallying a band of loyalists against a tyrannical count and rescuing a princess from a predetermined fate. The film, shot against the evocative landscapes of Mexico, is a vibrant tapestry of daring sword fights, burgeoning romance, and the kind of unvarnished pulp heroism that defined an era of adventure cinema. Leonora Amar's final screen appearance adds a poignant layer to this spirited tale of justice and defiance, making "Captain Scarlett" a delightful journey into classic adventure drama.
