CAPTAIN HAGEN'S BED & BREAKFAST

Cinemavixion Review

In "Captain Hagen's Bed & Breakfast," director Rafael Friedan crafts a surprisingly endearing comedy that, despite its somewhat provocative premise, lands with a heartwarming charm. The film invites eight guests to the Hamptons, promising luxury but delivering a delightfully ramshackle bed and breakfast presided over by the eccentric Captain Hagen and his peculiar family. What unfolds is a weekend where personal pursuits, both sexual and romantic, lead to a cascade of hilarious and unexpected outcomes. Friedan expertly balances raunchy humor with genuine warmth, ensuring that the quirky ensemble cast, led by Dino Petrera, Bri Oglu, and Jessamine Kelley, delivers performances that are both comedic and relatable. While the film garnered one award and a respectable, albeit modest, 4.5/10 rating on IMDb, its true success lies in its ability to leave audiences with a lasting smile, proving that sometimes the most memorable getaways are the ones least expected.
