CAPITOL RIOT: MINUTE BY MINUTE

Cinemavixion Review

In the harrowing documentary 'Capitol Riot: Minute by Minute,' viewers are plunged into the heart of a day that shook the foundations of American democracy. Released in 2022 and directed by Piers Garland, this film meticulously reconstructs the events of January 6, 2021, moving beyond mere news coverage to offer a detailed, chronological account. The narrative emphasizes the coordination, criminality, and sheer chaos that unfolded, presenting a stark reminder of how fragile democratic institutions can be, evoking parallels to the nation's most turbulent historical periods like the Civil War. While its IMDb rating of 5.2/10 suggests a mixed reception, the documentary's unflinching look at a pivotal moment in recent history makes it a significant, albeit disturbing, watch for those seeking to understand the intricacies of the Capitol riot.
