CANNIBAL TROLL

Cinemavixion Review

Scott Chambers and Becca Hirani's "Cannibal Troll" plunges viewers into a primal fear scenario, where a celebratory hen weekend transforms into a desperate fight for survival. The film effectively uses its remote countryside setting to amplify the isolation and dread as a group of friends are relentlessly pursued by a grotesque, man-eating troll. While the premise leans into B-movie horror tropes, the execution by directors Chambers and Hirani, coupled with a committed performance from Georgina Jane, manages to create moments of genuine tension. The narrative skillfully balances the creature feature aspect with the psychological horror of being hunted, forcing the characters into increasingly dire situations. "Cannibal Troll" offers a visceral, albeit pulpy, descent into terror, proving that sometimes the most ancient fears lurk just beyond civilization's edge.
