CAMP WEDDING

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Camp Wedding,' director Greg Emetaz crafts a horror-comedy that leans heavily into its B-movie sensibilities. Set in the ominously named Camp Pocumtuck, a site steeped in a grim history of lightning strikes, drownings, witch burnings, and Native American massacres, the film follows Mia's ill-fated attempt to host her dream wedding at the dilapidated summer camp. As Mia's friends struggle to transform the venue, they begin to mysteriously disappear. The narrative takes a darkly humorous turn as Mia becomes determined to proceed with her perfect wedding, even as she's tasked with hiding the mounting body count, all while receiving ominous text messages. The film's premise promises a blend of slasher tropes and comedic absurdity, playing on the contrast between a joyous occasion and escalating terror.
