Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the harrowing aftermath of the Cambodian civil war and the enduring legacy of the Khmer Rouge. It poignantly illustrates how the conflict, intertwined with the Vietnam War, continues to shape modern Cambodia, particularly through the pervasive threat of hidden landmines. The narrative underscores the devastating impact on the lives of ordinary people, with a specific focus on the vulnerability of children. The film highlights the staggering statistic that landmines still affect an average of 2.5 people daily, projecting a century-long effort for complete removal. It serves as a stark reminder of the long shadows cast by conflict and the resilience required to rebuild and heal from such profound trauma.
