"Calm Before" plunges viewers into the claustrophobic tension of a marriage teetering on the edge. The narrative centers on a couple, trapped in a remote lake house on their anniversary, who are forced to confront not only their crumbling relationship but also a rising tide of psychological turmoil. Director Tara Lynn Marcelle crafts an atmosphere thick with unspoken grievances and escalating dread, using the isolated setting to amplify the characters' internal struggles.
