CALIFORNIA DREAMING

Cinemavixion Review

Linda Voorhees' 2007 film, "California Dreaming," offers a comedic yet cautionary tale of family vacations gone awry. The narrative follows an Omaha family whose ambitious RV road trip to the Golden State quickly devolves into a series of unfortunate events, transforming their dream getaway into a waking nightmare. Starring David Foley, Lea Thompson, and Vicki Lewis, the film explores the often-unpredictable nature of familial travel and the humorous chaos that can ensue when expectations clash with reality. While not a critical darling, "California Dreaming" provides a lighthearted, if somewhat predictable, look at the trials and tribulations of venturing out on the open road with loved ones.
