BUTTERFLY KISSES

Cinemavixion Review

Erik Kristopher Myers' 'Butterfly Kisses' is a meta-horror film that delves into the unsettling nature of found footage and urban legends. The narrative centers on a filmmaker obsessed with a disturbing student film project that purportedly documents the legend of 'The Peeping Tom.' As the filmmaker immerses himself in his own work, the lines between reality and fiction blur, drawing his crew into a spiral of psychological dread. Despite a modest IMDb rating of 5.9, the film has garnered critical acclaim, boasting a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and securing two wins. This layered approach to horror, exploring the anxieties of creation and the allure of the macabre, makes 'Butterfly Kisses' a compelling watch for those who appreciate genre-bending narratives.
