BUS PASS BANDITS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a refreshingly candid and often humorous glimpse into the lives of elderly individuals who have turned to crime in their later years. 'Bus Pass Bandits' presents a compelling collection of characters, ranging from petty smugglers to sophisticated bank fraudsters. The film highlights intriguing figures like Ivy, a check card fraudster who, despite having served time, saw her actions as harmless to individuals, impacting only institutions. We also meet Charlie, who claims a lifetime of successful bank robberies and, at eighty years old, remains on parole for his latest con artistry. The documentary skillfully captures the spirit and audacity of these 'sunset year' criminals, providing a unique perspective on aging, societal norms, and the pursuit of illicit thrills.
