BURN YOUR NAME

Cinemavixion Review

Hayden Woodhead's "Burn Your Name" offers a tender exploration of modern relationships and the complexities of love. The narrative centers on Brad, a musician whose life takes an unexpected turn when he moves in with his best friend, Emile. What begins as a practical arrangement quickly evolves into an emotional minefield as Brad finds himself drawn to Michelle, their housemate. The film navigates the delicate balance between friendship and romance, particularly when Brad's burgeoning feelings for Michelle, who is also gay, challenge the established dynamics within the household. Woodhead directs with a sensitive hand, allowing the performances of Justin Turnbull, Lou Ticzon, and Christa Andersen to shine as they grapple with shifting affections and the potential for heartbreak. "Burn Your Name" is a thoughtful character study that delves into the unexpected paths love can take.
