BULLY HIGH

Cinemavixion Review

In "Bully High," director Bill McAdams Jr. crafts a poignant coming-of-age drama that bravely confronts contemporary societal issues. The film centers on a Muslim high school girl, compellingly portrayed, who faces relentless bullying due to her hijab. This narrative bravely delves into the intersection of religious prejudice, the complexities of sexual orientation, and the pervasive nature of schoolyard torment. The inclusion of Joseph Baena, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, marks a notable debut, adding an interesting layer to the ensemble cast. "Bully High" serves as a powerful, albeit challenging, exploration of identity and acceptance in a world often quick to judge, urging audiences to reflect on empathy and understanding.
