BRUT FORCE

Cinemavixion Review

Eve Symington's 'Brut Force' plunges viewers into the seemingly idyllic landscape of California's wine country, only to reveal a seedy underbelly of exploitation and corruption. The film follows Sloane Sawyer, a reporter with a complicated past, as she returns to her roots to uncover the truth behind the mistreatment of vineyard workers. What begins as a local investigation quickly escalates, exposing a deeply entrenched network of crime that challenges the polished image of the region. Patricia Velasquez delivers a compelling performance as Sawyer, navigating the complexities of her hometown and the dangers of her journalistic pursuit, ably supported by Tyler Posey and Lelia Symington. The film effectively contrasts the picturesque scenery with the grim realities faced by its characters, making for a thought-provoking thriller that critiques the darker side of prosperity.
