BROKEN LAW

Cinemavixion Review

"Broken Law" is a compelling Irish crime drama that masterfully navigates the treacherous terrain of familial loyalty and the seductive pull of the illicit. Tristan Heanue delivers a nuanced performance as Dave Connolly, a respected police officer whose life is thrown into disarray when his ex-convict brother, Joe, played with raw desperation by Graham Earley, seeks his help with a dangerous entanglement. Director Paddy Slattery crafts a taut narrative, exploring the moral compromises Dave must make, blurring the lines between law and personal obligation. The film delves into the psychological toll of deception, as Dave's attempts to protect his brother and a budding romance unravel, revealing the inescapable nature of consequence. With strong performances and a gripping storyline, "Broken Law" is a thought-provoking examination of the choices that define us, earning its critical acclaim, including a remarkable 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
