In "Broken City," director Terry Spears crafts a gritty narrative set against the backdrop of economic hardship, where survival dictates desperate measures. The film stars Ronnie Angel, Curt Darling, and Sofia Delgado as individuals pushed to the edge, forced into a dangerous game of illicit acquisition to protect their livelihoods. Spears masterfully navigates the escalating tension as a seemingly straightforward plan unravels, revealing darker intentions that threaten the protagonists' very existence. The performances are compelling, grounding the high-stakes drama in a palpable sense of desperation. "Broken City" serves as a stark reminder of the choices people make when faced with ruin, offering a tense and thought-provoking exploration of morality under duress. This independent crime drama is a compelling watch, particularly for those drawn to character-driven thrillers.
