BROKEN BUT WHOLE

Cinemavixion Review

"Broken But Whole" delves into the harrowing aftermath of profound trauma, presenting a narrative that is as disturbing as it is potentially cathartic. The film follows a protagonist who, having endured unspeakable abuse from her father and brother, grapples with the feeling of being irrevocably damaged. The arrival of a rescuer offers a glimmer of hope, initiating a complex journey through healing, denial, and eventual acceptance, interwoven with a developing romance. While the film's subject matter is intensely sensitive and deals with themes of sexual abuse and domestic violence, the external data suggests a runtime of 104 minutes, directed by Stanley Igboanugo, and starring Toosweet Annan and Alex Usifo Omiagbo. This dramatic thriller, set against the backdrop of the United States, promises a potent exploration of resilience and the arduous path toward reclaiming one's sense of self after devastation. It's a challenging watch, but one that aims to shed light on the strength of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable adversity.
