BROADWAY TO CHEYENNE
Cinemavixion Review
Released in 1932, "Broadway to Cheyenne" is a brisk Western that sees a city detective, Breezy Kildare, find himself embroiled in a familiar conflict out west. Harry L. Fraser directs Rex Bell as Kildare, who travels to Wyoming after an incident in New York, only to discover the same criminal element he left behind has established a protection racket. Marceline Day and Matthew Betz round out the principal cast in this tale of frontier justice versus organized crime. While perhaps not a landmark of the genre, the film offers a straightforward narrative that showcases the classic Western tropes of good versus evil, set against the backdrop of the American West. Its straightforward plot and familiar archetypes make it an accessible entry for fans of early Westerns.
