BRIGADIER PASQUALE ZAGARIA LOVES HIS MOTHER AND THE POLICE

Cinemavixion Review

In "Brigadier Pasquale Zagaria loves his mother and the police," director Mario Forges Davanzati presents a comedic turn for Lino Banfi as the titular brigadier. Expelled from the force due to his unconventional methods, which often aid criminals' escapes, Zagaria retreats to a quiet life. However, the tranquility is short-lived as he finds himself entangled in a clandestine diamond smuggling operation, with the precious gems cleverly concealed within grapefruits. The film, released in 1973, blends elements of crime and comedy, offering a glimpse into the chaotic world of a well-meaning but ultimately flawed lawman.
