BREAKUP MOUNTAIN

Cinemavixion Review

Joe Leone's 'Breakup Mountain' offers a surprisingly tense blend of relationship drama and survival thriller. The premise, centering on a couple's planned breakup at a remote cabin that quickly devolves into a fight for survival, is immediately engaging. Vincent Kevin Daniels and Jade Haley deliver performances that capture the frayed nerves and underlying tension of a relationship on the brink, making their predicament all the more palpable. Leone, also in a directorial and acting capacity, skillfully navigates the shift from intimate conflict to external threat. While the film might explore familiar genre tropes, its tight pacing and committed performances elevate it beyond a simple B-movie. The IMDb rating of 7.4 suggests a solid reception, hinting at a compelling watch for those seeking a thriller with a human core.
