Robert N. Bradbury's 1936 Western, "Brand of the Outlaws," starring the dependable Bob Steele, offers a straightforward, albeit familiar, tale of frontier justice. Steele plays Gary Gray, a newcomer who quickly finds himself entangled with the ruthless outlaw Ben Holt (Jack Rockwell) and his gang. Branded for rustling and subsequently framed for murder by Holt, Gray must clear his name and confront his tormentor. The film, running at a brisk 60 minutes, effectively delivers a narrative of betrayal and retribution. While it may not break new ground in the genre, "Brand of the Outlaws" serves as a solid example of the B-Westerns of its era, characterized by its clear-cut morality and action-oriented pacing.
