BORN TO BE A MONSTER? I DENNIS NILSEN'S MURDERS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling case of Dennis Nilsen, a Scottish civil servant whose desire for companionship twisted into a horrifying spree of serial murders. Between 1978 and 1983, Nilsen, operating from his North London residences, preyed on unsuspecting men. The narrative meticulously reconstructs his methods: luring victims with charm, only to end their lives through strangulation, often followed by drowning. The film explores the disturbing psychological landscape of a killer who saw murder as a solution to his inability to connect emotionally, earning him the grim moniker of the 'Muswell Hill Murderer'. It's a stark examination of how loneliness and emotional void can manifest into unimaginable darkness.
