BORN TO BATTLE

Cinemavixion Review

Released in 1935, "Born to Battle" emerges as a quintessential Western, helmed by director Harry S. Webb. The film stars the capable Tom Tyler as "Cyclone" Tom Saunders, a good-natured troublemaker drawn into a mystery involving cattle rustling. Tyler is ably supported by Jean Carmen as the spirited Betty Powell and Earl Dwire as her father. The narrative skillfully pits Saunders against the swaggering foreman Nate Lenox, providing a classic showdown within the rugged Western landscape. While not a film laden with accolades, "Born to Battle" offers a solid, engaging story that captures the spirit of its era, making it a worthy watch for fans of classic Western cinema.
