BORDERING ON TREASON

Cinemavixion Review

"Bordering On Treason" offers a profound and intimate look at the Iraq War through the lens of photojournalist Lorna Tychostup. This documentary, directed by Trish Dalton, chronicles Tychostup's remarkable nine-year journey into the heart of the conflict, moving beyond the confines of the Green Zone to capture the human realities often overlooked by mainstream media. Tychostup's evolution from a civilian observer to a seasoned journalist is compelling, as she navigates dangerous terrain to bridge the emotional and political divide between Western audiences and the Iraqi people. The film is a testament to the power of dedicated journalism in humanizing global tragedies and exploring the enduring possibility of hope amidst devastation. It serves as a vital reminder of the stories that lie beneath the headlines.
