BONE EATER

Cinemavixion Review

Jim Wynorski's "Bone Eater" plunges viewers into a chilling encounter with a creature born from ancient Native American folklore. Set against the stark backdrop of a desert town, the film weaves a narrative of unchecked ambition clashing with ancestral reverence. When the excavation for a new resort unearths sacred relics, it awakens the titular Bone Eater, a skeletal monstrosity with an insatiable hunger for flesh. The story skillfully balances the creature's terrifying rampages with the investigation led by Sheriff Steve Evans, a half-breed torn between his duty and his heritage. Bruce Boxleitner, Michael Horse, and Adoni Maropis deliver compelling performances, anchoring the supernatural horror with grounded humanity. While the film may not boast blockbuster accolades, its dedication to its premise and its atmospheric tension make it a noteworthy entry for fans of creature features and folklore-inspired horror.
