BOAT SHOOTOUT: DRUG SMUGGLERS SET OWN BOAT ON FIRE TO ESCAPE COAST GUARD

Cinemavixion Review

This gripping documentary plunges viewers into the heart of maritime law enforcement, chronicling the perilous missions undertaken by U.S. Coast Guard crews. The narrative unfolds across two distinct theaters of operation: the treacherous waters near the Florida Keys and the vast expanse of the East Pacific Ocean. In the Keys, a tense helicopter rescue highlights the critical nature of time and precision as a crew works against the clock to save an injured man from a violently pitching vessel, where a single misstep could prove fatal. Simultaneously, across the Pacific, a high-speed pursuit culminates in a dramatic confrontation, as a law enforcement unit engages a fleeing vessel, leading to a sharpshooter's intervention to disable the boat. The film effectively captures the bravery and split-second decision-making required in these high-stakes encounters, offering a raw look at the dangers faced on the open water.
