BLUE DESERT (DESERTO AZUL)

Cinemavixion Review

In a landscape stripped bare of memory and truth, "Blue Desert" (Deserto Azul) embarks on a profound quest for existential meaning. The narrative follows a solitary man, propelled by dreams and an inner compass, into the titular Blue Desert. His journey is one of revelation, where symbols and intuitions guide him toward the discovery of his soulmate. Drawing inspiration from Yoko Ono's seminal art book, this Brazilian science-fiction piece unfolds as a modernist exploration of new age spirituality and its intersection with the physical world. The film offers a uniquely dreamy and introspective perspective, inviting viewers to ponder the nature of existence and connection.
