Cinemavixion Review

Clayton Cogswell's 2016 horror-comedy, 'Bloody Good Time' (also known as 'I Had a Bloody Good Time at House Harker'), offers a rollicking, albeit B-movie, take on vampire lore. The film centers on two hapless brothers and their friend who, in a bid to save their ancestral home, concoct a plan for a staged vampire attack. Their scheme, however, hilariously unravels when their hired actor proves to be a genuine creature of the night. What follows is a chaotic descent into absurdity as the town itself succumbs to vampirism, forcing the Harker siblings to confront their lineage as vampire hunters. Featuring a cast including Nate Lane, Dylan Williams, and Noel Carroll, the film leans into its premise with 'bloody laughs' and 'absurd action,' promising a wild twist on established vampire tropes. While perhaps not a critical darling, its energetic approach and self-aware humor make it a potentially enjoyable watch for fans of low-budget horror comedies that don't take themselves too seriously.
