BLOODY DRAMA: POOL PARTY SLASHER

Cinemavixion Review

Colin Bressler's 'Bloody Drama: Pool Party Slasher' attempts a nostalgic dive into the slasher subgenre, harkening back to the iconic horror films of the 80s and early 90s. The narrative centers on five former sorority sisters reuniting for a weekend getaway, a seemingly innocent attempt to recapture their youthful past that quickly devolves into a tense exploration of their fractured present. As alcohol and drugs blur the lines between camaraderie and conflict, an unseen menace lurks, poised to amplify their personal resentments into a deadly spectacle. The film aims to blend interpersonal drama with visceral horror, questioning how much carnage both internal divisions and external evil can unleash. While the setup promises a throwback experience, the execution hinges on its ability to deliver suspense and gore effectively within this familiar framework.
