BLOOD THEATRE

Cinemavixion Review

Rick Sloane's 1984 offering, "Blood Theatre," presents a chilling premise: an old movie house, steeped in a history of tragic events, reopens only to find its bloody past repeating itself. The film stars Mary Woronov, Jenny Cunningham, and Jonathan Blakely in a narrative that blends horror with a darkly comedic edge, as suggested by its classification as a horror spoof. While critical reception and awards may be scarce, the film's cult status among aficionados of low-budget horror is undeniable. "Blood Theatre" delves into the macabre with a unique, albeit niche, approach to haunted cinema, promising a descent into theatrical terror where the silver screen's darkness spills into reality.
