BLOOD HONEY

Cinemavixion Review

Jeff Kopas' "Blood Honey" plunges viewers into a disorienting world where psychological torment and familial secrets intertwine. The film masterfully uses its wilderness setting to amplify the protagonist Jenibel's (Shenae Grimes) descent into a terrifying reality, blurring the lines between trauma and present danger. Grimes delivers a compelling performance, anchoring the narrative with a raw vulnerability as Jenibel grapples with fragmented memories and the unsettling behavior of those closest to her. The mystery surrounding her father's illness and her siblings' intentions creates a palpable sense of dread. While the film's exploration of madness and perception may challenge some viewers, its atmospheric tension and intricate plot offer a potent and thought-provoking cinematic experience for fans of psychological thrillers.
