BLACKWATER

Cinemavixion Review

In "Blackwater," director Iain Fulton crafts a lean, mean Western that plunges viewers into a familiar conflict: a town's defiance against a marauding band of outlaws. The narrative, while straightforward, is elevated by a cast including Jesse Aquiningo, Graham K. Furness, and Asabi Goodman, who commit fully to their roles. Fulton's distinctive approach, utilizing green screen and 3D environments, offers a unique visual texture, setting this Australian production apart. Though its runtime is concise, "Blackwater" delivers a focused tale of resilience and community spirit against encroaching chaos, making it a noteworthy entry for fans of independent Westerns looking for something stylistically adventurous.
