Cinemavixion Review

Jeremiah Kipp's 'Black Wake' plunges viewers into a chilling mystery where the vast ocean becomes a harbinger of dread. The film masterfully intertwines scientific investigation with ancient folklore, as a series of baffling deaths along the coast draw the attention of both dedicated scientists and a sharp detective. Nana Gouvea delivers a compelling performance as a scientist grappling with an unknown, primordial threat, while Tom Sizemore grounds the narrative with his determined portrayal. The inclusion of Eric Roberts and Jonny Beauchamp adds further depth to the ensemble. 'Black Wake' thrives on its atmospheric tension and unsettling premise, exploring themes of humanity's insignificance against forces beyond comprehension. It's a gripping descent into madness, urging audiences to question the unseen dangers lurking beneath the surface.
