BLACK BELT ANGELS

Cinemavixion Review

In the realm of martial arts cinema, "Black Belt Angels" emerges as a spirited, albeit modest, offering from 1994. Directed by Chi Kim, the film centers on a noble martial arts school threatened by a greedy mobster. The narrative advantageously places the school's defense in the hands of the owner's four daughters, all formidable black belt practitioners. This premise allows for a display of martial arts prowess, blending family loyalty with a classic underdog struggle against organized crime. While the plot may tread familiar ground, the execution, driven by a cast including Shawna Larson, Rebekah Bartlett, and Shannon Marketic, provides a straightforward, action-oriented experience. The film's appeal lies in its earnest commitment to its genre conventions, offering a straightforward tale of courage and skill triumphing over avarice.
