BIGFOOT'S WILD WEEKEND

Cinemavixion Review

This 2012 comedy, "Bigfoot's Wild Weekend," offers a lighthearted romp into cryptozoology, blending a tabloid reporter's skepticism with a surprisingly amiable Sasquatch. The narrative cleverly sidesteps the traditional monster movie trope, instead presenting Bigfoot as a party-loving creature with a penchant for beer and beautiful company. Lead Chase Carter, as the initially disbelieving journalist Harlan James, effectively navigates the comedic absurdity, supported by a capable cast including David Novak as the local sheriff and Nikki Parsneau as a rival reporter. While the film leans heavily into its comedic premise, it also injects a sense of urgency with the introduction of bounty hunters and a vengeful redneck, creating a fun, albeit B-movie, chase. Directed by Jeff Murray, it's a low-stakes adventure that celebrates the unexpected, proving that sometimes, the wildest discoveries come with a cold one.
