BIG SKY

Cinemavixion Review

Jorge Michel Grau's 2015 thriller, "Big Sky," presents a tense narrative centered on Hazel (Bella Thorne), a young woman battling severe agoraphobia. The film charts her journey with her mother, Dee (Kyra Sedgwick), to a specialized treatment center, a trip fraught with peril when they become targets of a violent gunman. Thorne delivers a compelling performance, navigating the complexities of her character's internal struggles against external threats. While the film was met with a mixed reception, with critics highlighting its premise and Thorne's performance, it nonetheless offers a gripping survival story that explores themes of fear and resilience. The supporting cast, including the formidable Kyra Sedgwick, adds depth to the unfolding drama, making "Big Sky" a noteworthy entry in the thriller genre for those seeking a suspenseful ride.
