The documentary meticulously dissects a local election in Leslie County, Kentucky, illustrating how deeply ingrained factors such as party loyalty, familial connections, and the strategic use of absentee ballots can significantly influence electoral outcomes. The narrative is further enriched by the historical resonance of President Richard Nixon's visit, which, as the film suggests, ignited enduring controversies.
