BEYOND THE NORTH WOODS

Cinemavixion Review

Lance Todd's "Beyond the North Woods" plunges viewers into the unsettling atmosphere of northern Minnesota's mysterious forests, offering a chilling narrative centered around a self-absorbed influencer. As the protagonist attempts to capture viral content, he and his companions find themselves ensnared by a time-bending, sanity-eroding threat that mirrors the escalating dread of the woods themselves. While the film's IMDb rating of 3.9 suggests a mixed reception, its intriguing premise and atmospheric horror elements, as detailed in the plot summary, make it a compelling watch for those drawn to psychological thrillers and the darker side of online fame. The collaboration between director Lance Todd and actors Matt Rasmussen and Henriette Soderlind appears to successfully translate a disorienting and suspenseful experience to the screen, making "Beyond the North Woods" a noteworthy, albeit potentially divisive, entry in the genre.
