BEYOND HATRED

Cinemavixion Review

Alessandro Santini's 'Beyond Hatred' plunges viewers into the tumultuous landscape of the American frontier, weaving a tale of survival, identity, and the enduring echoes of the past. The narrative centers on a frontier family's tragic fate, leaving a young daughter captive and presumed lost. Years later, her return is foreshadowed by the anxieties of Loana (Stefania Nelli), whose lover, Kite (Jeff Cameron), leads warriors into conflict. A pivotal ambush yields prisoners, one of whom, a wounded trooper, ignites a flood of repressed memories in Loana. The discovery of an identical necklace reveals a shocking truth: she is the captive child, and the soldier, her presumed dead brother. As Loana grapples with this revelation, Colonel Manson embarks on a mission to eradicate the Native American presence, setting the stage for a dramatic confrontation. The film explores the profound impact of historical trauma and the unexpected ways connections can be reforged across divides.
