BEWARE THE FOREST'S WHISPER | THOSE WHO CALL

Cinemavixion Review

"Those Who Call" plunges viewers into a disquieting atmosphere, where a simple road trip transforms into a harrowing ordeal. The narrative skillfully builds suspense as two sisters find their journey abruptly halted in a remote, unsettling town. The encroaching, seemingly sentient forest serves as a potent metaphor for the unseen forces that begin to isolate and menace them. As the sisters uncover the dark secrets of their predicament, the film reveals a sinister pagan cult, adding a layer of primal fear to their struggle for survival. The comparison to "The Wicker Man" aptly suggests a descent into folk horror, where isolation and ancient rituals converge. This is a chilling exploration of vulnerability and the desperate fight for escape against overwhelming, malevolent forces.
