BETTANY HUGHES ON THE 7 WONDERS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD

Cinemavixion Review

Bettany Hughes embarks on a compelling journey through history, illuminating the enduring allure of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This exploration delves into the awe and inspiration these monumental sites evoked, drawing parallels between ancient pilgrimages to places like the Pyramids of Giza and the Statue of Zeus, and our modern fascination. Hughes, an accomplished author on the subject, provides a vivid account of these wonders as they were originally constructed, contrasting their past glory with their present-day remnants. The narrative is enriched by insights from Dan Snow, offering a dual perspective on these timeless marvels. It’s an engaging look at human ambition, artistry, and the legacy etched in stone across millennia.
