BETRAYED

Cinemavixion Review

Harley Wallen's 'Betrayed' plunges into the grim underbelly of urban crime, where a city's mayor finds himself ensnared by the Russian mob. The narrative escalates with chilling efficiency as the mob's lawlessness leads to the abduction and death of young women, and ultimately, the kidnapping of the mayor's own daughter. This descent into a high-stakes game of leverage is anchored by a cast that includes John Savage, Richard Tyson, and Billy Wirth, whose performances lend a gritty authenticity to the escalating tensions. While the film grapples with themes of corruption and desperate measures, its execution offers a compelling, albeit dark, exploration of consequences when power collides with organized crime. The film's commitment to its tense plot and character dynamics makes it a noteworthy entry in the crime thriller genre.
