BETRAYAL

Cinemavixion Review

Mark L. Lester's 'Betrayal' plunges viewers into a high-octane narrative of survival and desperation. The film masterfully intertwines the fates of Jayne Ferré, a skilled assassin on the run with a stolen fortune, and Emily, a mother seeking a new start for her son. The plot, rich with unexpected twists and turns, sees their paths cross in a tense, cross-country flight that spirals into a deadly game of cat and mouse. Erika Eleniak and Julie du Page deliver compelling performances, anchoring the film with a palpable sense of urgency and a growing, albeit fraught, bond. Lester expertly navigates the action sequences and the character-driven drama, creating a thriller that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. While not adorned with major awards, 'Betrayal' stands as a solid entry in the crime thriller genre, offering a gripping tale of loyalty tested and betrayals unveiled.
