BERLIN'S SECRET NAZI SPY BROTHEL

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the shadowy world of 'Salon Kitty,' a high-class brothel repurposed by the Nazi regime in 1939 under Reinhard Heydrich's command. More than just a place of illicit indulgence, it served as a sophisticated espionage hub. The narrative chillingly exposes how the SS used the brothel to eavesdrop on their own party members and visiting dignitaries, including figures like Joachim von Ribbentrop and Galeazzo Ciano. The intrigue deepens with the revelation that the British Secret Service was also privy to these clandestine conversations, adding a layer of counter-espionage to the already tense wartime atmosphere. The film effectively captures the paranoia and duplicity inherent in the Nazi hierarchy, illustrating a period where trust was a rare commodity, even amongst the regime's inner circle.
