Michele Lupo's "Ben and Charlie" offers a spirited take on the Western genre, infusing it with a compelling buddy-comedy dynamic. Set against the rugged backdrop of the Old West, the film chronicles the tumultuous relationship between its titular characters, portrayed with gusto by Giuliano Gemma and George Eastman. Their animosity, born from a shared past and a refusal to let go, fuels a narrative brimming with unexpected alliances and audacious heists. The chemistry between Gemma and Eastman is palpable, oscillating between genuine loathing and an undeniable, if grudging, camaraderie.
